This course includes access to ASL Level 1 and Level 2. Each level covers the content of one year of high school lessons. A student that completes both levels has completed the equivalent of two semesters of college ASL classes.

Get to know us:
Our founder, Michelle Wierman, has a personal connection to the journey of learning ASL. Starting at the age of 8, Michelle was inspired by a BabySitters' Club book featuring a Deaf character. Although there were no children's courses available at the time, Michelle pursued her ASL studies through Community College classes and courses hosted by the local school for the Deaf until she could finally study Deaf Education in College. This journey, though challenging, had a profound impact on Michelle's development, fostering communication confidence, empathy, and a deep appreciation for the importance of communication access.
Drawing from Michelle's personal experience as a non-native ASL learner and a homeschooling parent, as well as her years of work as an educator trained in ASL/English bilingual instruction, our Youth ASL Class provides a unique blend of expertise, empathy, and understanding. We know what it takes to support children on their ASL journey because we have lived it ourselves.
